6 Ways I Use AI in My Business Without Losing My Voice, Energy, Creativity or Essence

I am one of those folks who actually love using AI..... probably because I'm a single person running multiple programs, courses, services, etc., all by myself 😬
I look for ease of use, anything that makes me work faster. And those who know me, know I love creating systems for my systemslol 😅
I'm all about efficiency. And using AI does take up a little time initially to make it work for you, but it pays off in the long run just like any other system you create!
And my advice for creating any system that reduces your work over time is to spend the time getting it right for you. Putting in time to Make Time 😉, tuning it and making it run smoothly! 🪄
(P.S. I teach how to create systems in your work/biz in Make Time Stack)
Now, let's go into how I use AI and am currently training it to be the perfect assistant for me 😎
1 - As a Soundboard
My secondary authority in Human Design is 'talking it out' with a soundboard which can be a person or myself (which is why I talk to myself out loud 😄)
Recently, I tried this with ChatGPT and realised it gives me clarity and also helps to see blind spots aka things that I might have missed. So my late-night convos are with ChatGPT now 🤪
I am pretty fast when it comes to my thought process, context switching and working, so this actually works best for my speed!
Note of caution –
It's still AI and not a human. In some ways, it's better. In many ways, it doesn't get humans too. So your own discernment is needed. Not just blindly going with it - in the sense that you don't just take what AI tells you at face value. You need to still filter it through your own lens, your own perspective. And just because AI is saying it doesn't mean it's right. You decide that for yourself.
2 - Transcription
I use Otter to help me transcribe my voice notes - whether I'm doing readings or whether I need to record tasks/content etc. and then use ChatGPT to clean it up. I don't like typing a lot 🙈 and it's difficult when I'm channeling readings. Especially with the size of the reports in my readings 👀
But... When I'm in flow and intuitively feel called to write, I don't use transcription.
Note of caution –
You have to be careful with cleaning up your notes because it can very easily make it sound not like you, by the way. It requires a lot of editing, tweaking your prompts, and training it to sound relatively human or like you. And still it can NEVER sound like you.
Maybe a person who's better at prompt generation than me might make it happen. But I feel that no matter how much effort I've put into it .. I could only get it to sound 80–85% like my actual voice. It still manages to take the life, the whole emotion, and well... me out of it.
And that's what AI does 🤷♀️
At times, I wonder if I should just edit my notes myself instead of doing so much work with AI. But I’m looking at it from a long term perspective. What I'm doing now trains the model to do better and learn better how to work with me. And all that effort is helping and well help in the long run!
Also, my personal pet peeve: I hate these long hyphens that ChatGPT adds. I mean, like... why? Just why. And no matter how many times I ask it to stop using that, it doesn't. Is it just me, or do you also not like it? 😣😫
3 - Brainstorming
I love brainstorming in general, and it helps to get inspired by interesting, out-of-the-box ideas. The key is to use AI to allow your mind to get inspired, but not just do what AI throws out at you.
Most importantly, I've noticed that the best ideas come from me, not from AI. So use it to spark your creativity not replace it!
Note of caution –
Don't let your creativity dwindle just because AI is giving you great ideas. Use it to let your mind go on paths it might never think of.
If you only do what AI says, then you'll be doing what everyone is doing and wonder why you don't stand out 🫣
4 - Realigning My Biz
I've been working on a huge realignment in my biz, and I used ChatGPT to help me do soundboarding and take all my notes and structure it so I have a detailed status + task list.
I enjoyed the fact that it could call out any blind spots like I spoke about in the soundboarding part of how I use AI. At the same time, it was also tracking things for me and letting me know where the gaps were, where I could consider something else that made sense in the bigger picture. It felt like I had another pair of eyes cross checking and telling me what I was missing out! 😃
Note of caution –
It sucks at generating documents. For some reason, it just forgets everything and gives you a very bad piece 😒 Yes, even the paid version! I don't know if this will ever improve, but I ended up taking all of the things that it had generated and putting it into Notion manually 🤷♀️
5 - Designing
I almost forgot this one, but I use Canva to create designs that honestly wouldn't be possible for me to create. I use it for simple things like social media, graphics and designs for my offers, and for me to play around with designing fun things in general. I enjoy playing around and see what I can do with it! 😃
Note of caution –
Nothing beats a custom-designed graphic or illustration. Ever 🙅♀️
There's a thing about the energy that goes into creating art and that's never something that AI can do. Which is why I'd invest in a graphic designer for something important like an oracle deck (which is what I'm doing for mine!)
With the recent Ghibli trend, it kind of puts everything into perspective, right? There's someone who spends years and years learning and creating something unique, and then AI can come and do it in seconds.
But it's kind of a fact for everything, isn't it? Now we don't have people doing a lot of different things, coz AI is slowly taking up that all that work. This is only going to happen more and more with time. And I know this is a never ending discussion... it can be a whole new debate 👀
But I think it comes down to how you are using it as an individual, and what your ethics are like. Understanding what you're doing with it and how you're using it is important.
At the same time, knowing that no matter what AI creates, it can NEVER be art.
It can maybe bring things to life for a person like me, who doesn’t really know designing that well but wishes they could. But it will never, ever replace the work done by someone who is putting in their creativity and their energy.
You know I’m an energy-first person and I feel, from an energy perspective, Art has energy.
Art has vibe. It makes you feel something.
And AI will never be able to do that.
That is a huge difference that’s important to understand.
And honestly? I feel that applies to everything ✨️
6 - Search
This might be obvious, but I now research or find things on ChatGPT. I find that now it knows me well enough to tell me what I need to hear 😅😬 and I can ask follow up questions, get direct answers instead of having to search multiple sites!
Note of caution –
Having said that, sometimes for deeper research, it's best to head to Google if you ask me. It's not always good to get a filtered version of what AI alone thinks is right for you! 👀
AI Tools I Use:
A Final Note or My take on things 😁
We can keep having this debate about AI and how it's taking up jobs and everything but I feel it's only also pushing us to be more creative, more original, more 'Your Essence'.
Do what only You can do.
Because that is something I feel AI can never recreate - You.
It can come up with fun, beautiful, interesting things but there is something to be said about what comes through a human.
It carries energy.
That’s the bonus.
That's the missing piece.
That’s what makes a huge difference.
Your energy shows in everything you do. It speaks before you ✨️
Your energy comes through in the content you create, in the posts you write, in the art you make, in the programs you create - aka whatever it is you do, your energy comes through.
And energy is important.
That is what attracts people and lights them up from inside.
That’s what actually resonates.
Maybe someone will try and teach AI to do that too.. 🤷♀️
But can I just say... energy is energy.
And AI is never going to be able to put that out. Ever.
And that’s my take on AI right now 😬 (like everything, I'm sure this will evolve as well!)
Use AI in the way it's meant to be used.
Use it for things that can help you work better not to replace yourself.
And know that you still have your own energy.
The energy of You that is irreplaceable and cannot be replicated.
So learn how to use your energy wisely in your work as well ❤️
