The Gardener is in each and every one of us.
This is not the gardener you think of literally but the one who takes care of everything that you desire, everything that you’re creating and bringing to life into this world.
Each and every thing that you give life to,
Everything you are here to nurture, grow, and cherish,
The Gardener is the one who tends to it.
The Gardener also looks after all of the things that you are meant to bring to life, not just so they nourish and support you, but also so they bring fruit to those who are meant to receive them.
The Gardener in you knows: You are capable of bringing so many things to life… past, present, and future.
And The Gardener also knows what to do with each creation.
When to let go of things that have lived their lifetime.
When to let them gently pass away, transmute, decompose, and make space for something new to come through.
The Gardener knows when it is time to sow the seeds of new beginnings, because the Gardener already holds the vision of the full potential of the garden you are here to bring to life.
The Gardener knows when to take care, when to water, when to nourish, and when to step back and let nature do its thing.
Because some parts are yours to tend, and some are left to Source, to the Earth, to Spirit.
The Gardener knows when to harvest.
When to allow things to wither.
When to let them follow their own cycle.
When to step in and when to step out.
When to stop wondering or worrying about what will happen.
Because you’re not meant to know it all.
Even if the Gardener has a line of sight… if you knew everything that’s meant to happen with your creations, then what would be the joy of creating?
There would be no presence and no beauty.
The Gardener is here to help you cherish the present moment.
So look back at all you’ve created until now.
The things you’re creating now.
And all the things still waiting to be born through you.
You don’t even know how much is coming.
Focus on what calls your energy.
Let the rest take their own time.
Without the Gardener, you might rush.
You might over-water.
You might try to control what’s not yours to control.
And that’s when your creations begin to suffocate.
That’s when you miss the magic.
So… let The Gardener guide you.
Light Aspects of the Gardener:
Patience and nurturing presence
Deep trust in natural cycles
Energetic discernment - knows when to act, when to rest
Intuitive timing and stewardship
Holds vision while staying rooted
Shadow Aspects of the Gardener:
Overwatering, over-controlling
Pushing too hard, too fast
Holding onto what needs to die
Fear of letting go
Obsession with outcomes
Journal Prompts to connect with The Gardener:
What in your life or work is ready to be let go of or composted?
Where do you feel called to pour your energy right now and where might you be forcing it?
What seeds have you planted that need your trust instead of your worry?
Embodiment Practice: Meet The Gardener
Take a few deep, intentional breaths. Visualize yourself standing in a vast, beautiful field filled with your creations - past, present, and future. See your inner Gardener walking through this field.
Gently ask them: What needs my energy right now?
What needs release?
What needs nothing from me at all?
Receive the messages. Whatever you hear, see, or feel… trust it.
Then, over the next few days, take small aligned actions.
Let things grow.
Let things go.
Let the Gardener lead because the Gardener knows your creations better than you do.
I hope you take the time to meet The Gardener within. You might just find what new creations want to be brought to life!
See you soon with the next Archetype in this series.
Love,
Reshma
